EC:

Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna is a 3-show-event, Cosmopack, Cosmo Perfumery&Cosmetics, Cosmo Hair&Nail&Beauty Salon, with a unique trade fair concept. Can you explain this concept?

Enrico Zannini:

Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna is the unique b2b beauty event gathering all the cosmetics sectors under one roof, from the supply chain to finished products, from the retail to the distribution channel. The 3 areas facilitate each stakeholder to follow a tailor-made path along the over 30 pavilions of the exhibition, and optimize his/her presence on the show floor.

EC:

All shows will open on the same day, March 20, 2025. What’s the reason for this?

Enrico Zannini:

It’s a solution we adopted for the 2024 edition, too, and it reflects the mix of distribution channels and sectors which is characterizing the market today. Opening all areas on the same days helps the international players travelling to Bologna mainly on weekly days, since they can meet both suppliers and finished product brands and find out main trends and the most innovative novelties. At the same time, beauty professionals working in the beauty salon, hair and nail sectors can discover what’s new in the retail sector, and what beauty suppliers are launching to meet the needs of consumers we believe this is a win-win solution for all our attendees.

How do you support exhibitors?

Enrico Zannini:

At Cosmoprof exhibitors do not buy only a booth, but they takle advantage of important business tools to develop their business. Along with visibility in all the most influential media of the world, Cosmoprof facilitates the connection between our exhibitors and the key players from the best performing markets, from retailers to C-level managers, from Indie brands and brand owners to R&D and marketing managers, from Import/Export dealers to wholesalers.

What makes Cosmoprof different from other trade fairs in the beauty industry?

Enrico Zannini:

The main feature of Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna is its international attendance. Cosmoprof is the only exhibition gathering every year more than 250,000 stakeholders from over 150 countries under one roof, to discuss about the most actual trends and the future evolution of the industry.

EC:

This year there is a new layout of the pavilions and sectors. What do you want to achieve with this?

Enrico Zannini:

With the revised layout for the 2025 edition we are offering more visibility to specific segments in the beauty industry, which till now could not find enough space on the show floor. At the same time, we are facilitating stakeholders in their visit to the exhibition, thus creating easier paths to meet their needs and maximize their presence in Bologna. I would recommend all attendees to check the new layout and take note of the new logistics of our halls. For stakeholders interested in the retail channel, the main novelty is the new location of the brands representing Perfumery and Cosmetics, which will be showcasing in hall 26 (with a focus on skincare and make-up products) and 36 (for personal care brands and fragrances).

What topics will be discussed on the three days of the conference?

Enrico Zannini:

Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna is renown non only for its rich exhibition offer, but for its excellent educational program, too. Round tables will focus on macro-trends such as the evolution of a circular beauty industry to the latest innovations in raw materials supply and in fragrance, from new markets to the most influential trends emerging from Asia, and many more. Single presentations will deal with sectorial updates, from presentations of what’s new in the supply chain to the novelties and live demos for the professional channels. All stakeholders can find topics and updates to be inspired.

EC:

Cosmoprof offer a wide range of educational sessions. Which ones can you particularly recommend and what is new in 2025?

Enrico Zannini:

For 2025 we are launching a new format of brand presentations for the supply chain, the Cosmopack Stage. And not to be missed is the rich Calendar of Cosmotalks, the educational format by Cosmoprof offering an overview of the mot important macro-trends, providing inspirations to key players. Among the main topics of 2025, the evolution of sustainability, new trends in the ingredients segment, the digital transformation of the fragrance sector, how to build a trustworthy brand identity, women health, wellbeing and how beauty can face stress and anxiety, and many more. Special insights on the main novelties in the US, African and Asian markets are being presented, too.

EC:

The special exhibition areas such as the Ingredients Zone or the Beauty Tech Area also offer numerous opportunities to find out more about the latest trends. Which area is a must?

Enrico Zannini:

Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna offers a great variety of special areas featuring the best emerging segments in beauty. From the ingredients and rea materials featured in the Ingredients Zone at Cosmoprof, to special areas dedicated to beauty tech and start-ups in Cosmoprime (hall 14), I suggest stakeholders to visit all of them to have an overview of how the industry is changing.

Enrico Zannini:

Thanks to our exclusive match-making platform Cosmoprof My Match, exhibitors and buyers can interact before the exhibition, share notes and materials, schedule on-site meetings and get prepared for new business opportunities. The tool facilitates the connection between supply and demand, maximizing business opportunities and networking.

Do you have any other recommendations for attending this year’s event?

Enrico Zannini:

My suggestion is to start preparing the visit to Cosmoprof as soon as possible. With a show-floor area of more than 200,000 sqm and over 3,000 exhibitors attending and representing more than 10,000 brands, Cosmoprof is really challenging. Further to that, I suggest to check the new floor plan and to maximize the time on the show floor scheduling business meetings in advance through our Cosmoprof Enrico Zannini:
