Joan Pere Jiménez Takes on Eurofragance CEO Role

Barcelona, January 22, 2026 – Joan Pere Jiménez officially assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Eurofragance, the multinational perfume house headquartered in Barcelona, on January 1, 2026. With this transition, the company reinforces its commitment to internal talent and strengthens its leadership position in the fragrance industry.

Jiménez’s appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter for Eurofragance, which will be guided by a strategic plan built around three fundamental pillars: Innovation, People and Customers. This approach will help strengthen the company’s positioning and accelerate its expansion in key markets.

The succession process, carefully planned since 2023, unfolded throughout 2025 to ensure a smooth transition and the continuity of the company’s strategic vision. Laurent Mercier, who led Eurofragance since 2018, will remain involved in the company as a member of the Board of Directors.

Global experience and strategic vision to lead Eurofragance

Jiménez has over ten years of experience at Eurofragance, where he successfully held various leadership positions within the Executive Committee. He joined as Chief Operations Officer, driving operational efficiency and global industrial development. He later led the company’s global expansion first in Europe, Africa and Turkey and subsequently in Asia Pacific, achieving significant growth in these markets. From January 2024 through the end of 2025, he served as Chief Market Officer, leading all the markets at a global level.

“Assuming the position of CEO at Eurofragance is a great responsibility and, at the same time, an opportunity to continue building on everything we have achieved in recent years. My priority is to strengthen our position as a global leader, reinforce our regions and grow in the markets that are most strategic for the company,” says Joan Pere Jiménez.

Jiménez’s three-pillar plan is structured to respond to the sector’s challenges and the real-time needs of customers, employees and partners across markets. This includes the expansion of the company’s global footprint with new factories and Creative Centers to be closer to clients, along with an ambitious transformation plan to accelerate digitalization and the tactical use of AI tools to increase Eurofragance’s agility, innovation output and customer proximity.

A planned transition aligned with the company’s strategy

The founding family members and owners of the company, the Board of Directors and the current leadership team have welcomed the appointment of Joan Pere Jiménez. They entrust him to carry forwards the values of the organization, while developing new strategic priorities and ensuring its future growth.

Santiago Sabatés, President and Founder of Eurofragance, states:

“I am pleased that this transition has been led by one of our own and someone who has a deep understanding of our values and culture.
