KRAHN Chemie has been granted new distribution rights for Poland by its long-standing partner BYK. With this agreement, the Hamburg-based distributor will supply BYK additives for personal care from now on, thereby expanding its portfolio into a new segment in the Polish market.
The new additives offer potential applications in various fields, for example skin cleansing, color cosmetics, hair care, antiperspirants, sun care, and meet the key requirements of personal care manufacturers focused on innovative solutions. The expanded offering of KRAHN Chemie in Poland includes organically modified phyllosilicates as well as natural and synthetic phyllosilicates, designed to stabilize particles and active ingredients in formulations. They also optimize rheological behavior, improve overall formulation stability, provide absorption and mattifying effects, enhance binding properties and contribute to a smooth as well as pleasant skin feel.

The partnership underscores the long-standing collaboration between BYK and KRAHN Chemie and opens new opportunities for market development. BYK and KRAHN Chemie have been working together for more than 15 years. In Poland, KRAHN Chemie already distributes a broad BYK product portfolio – from rheology, wetting and dispersing additives to wax additives as well as defoamers and air release additives for the adhesives & sealants, coatings, home care and lubricants industries. The new additives are available in Poland from January 2026.
