Elkem Silicones has announced the launch of three new PURESIL™ silicone ingredients, expanding its portfolio of high-performance, low-cyclics solutions for cosmetic and personal care formulations. The new eco-designed additions — PURESIL™ ORG 0415, PURESIL™ ORG 0515, and PURESIL™ ESG 03 — are designed to help formulators deliver premium sensory experiences while supporting the transition to more sustainable beauty products.
Three New PURESIL™ Ingredients at a Glance
PURESIL™ ORG 0415 is a velvety elastomer gel offering smooth glide, a silky after-feel, and a soft-focus effect with long-lasting moisture retention. It also structures mineral sunscreens into a uniform film, supporting even coverage and SPF performance. PURESIL™ ORG 0515 is an elastomer fluid blend with exceptionally high lubricity, bringing lustrous gloss, improved spreadability, and a smooth finish across skin care, sun care, hair care, and color cosmetics. Both products belong to the PURESIL™ ORG Series, which leverages biobased carriers for enhanced sustainability credentials.
PURESIL™ ESG 03: Multifunctional Mineral Dispersant
PURESIL™ ESG 03 is a high-performance multifunctional emulsifying elastomer blend designed to significantly enhance pigment and mineral UV filter dispersion. It ensures excellent suspension power, improved stability, and refined sensory profiles, making it perfectly suited for anhydrous systems as well as W/Si and W/O emulsions. The launch of PURESIL™ ESG 03 reflects growing formulator demand for reliable mineral dispersants — a trend also reflected in the broader silicone market, as seen in WACKER’s recent expansion of silicone emulsion production for the cosmetics industry.

All three new ingredients have been developed within Elkem Silicones’ eco-design framework, addressing industry demand for beauty formulations that combine technical performance with reduced environmental impact.
