Core Biogenesis Releases New Clinical Data on Peaureva™ Scalp Active at in-cosmetics Global 2026

Core Biogenesis has released new biotech data on Peaureva™, its novel scalp active based on an oleosome-growth factor fusion technology, ahead of its presentation at in-cosmetics Global 2026 in Paris. Early clinical results demonstrate a +33.6% increase in hair density in just 28 days, positioning Peaureva™ as one of the most compelling new scalp biotechnology actives to emerge in the hair thinning segment. The active targets five biological drivers of hair thinning, making it relevant across a broad spectrum of hair loss concerns for formulators developing next-generation scalp treatments.

Oleosome-Growth Factor Fusion: A Novel Delivery Mechanism

Peaureva™ is built on a proprietary fusion of oleosomes — natural lipid storage bodies — with FGF-2 (Fibroblast Growth Factor 2), a key signalling protein known to play a role in hair follicle cycling and dermal papilla cell activity. The oleosome carrier system is designed to enhance the skin penetration and sustained release of the growth factor at the scalp, addressing one of the core limitations of topical growth factor actives: getting bioactive molecules to the right biological target. The approach reflects growing industry interest in biotech-driven scalp solutions, as explored in Euro Cosmetics’ analysis of hair care trends for 2025, which highlighted growth factor and exosome technologies as key emerging directions in the category.

Five Biological Drivers of Hair Thinning

Peaureva™ has been designed to act simultaneously on five biological mechanisms underlying hair thinning: reduced follicle cell proliferation, impaired hair growth cycle signalling, scalp microenvironment dysfunction, diminished dermal papilla activity, and insufficient anagen phase support. By targeting this multifactorial biology rather than a single pathway, Core Biogenesis positions Peaureva™ as a systemic scalp active rather than a single-mechanism ingredient.

Clinical Results and In-Cosmetics Presentation

The clinical data supporting the +33.6% hair density increase at 28 days will be presented at a technical seminar at in-cosmetics Global 2026 on Wednesday 15 April (16:25–16:55, Technical Seminar Theatre 2, Hall 7 Level 3). The session — titled “If Growth Factors Work on Skin, What Happens on the Scalp?” — will present the full dataset on scalp biology and hair growth cycle parameters, including improvements in hair thickness and growth cycle kinetics alongside the density findings.
